Volleyball Recap: Sheldon Takes a Loss

Sheldon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Galena Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Galena, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-5-1.

Coming up, Sheldon will head out on the road to challenge Rich Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Galena, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Jefferson Independent Day on the 20th.
