Basketball Game Preview: Cartersville Hurricanes vs. Hiram Hornets

Cartersville hasn't had much luck against Hiram recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cartersville Hurricanes will head out on the road to challenge the Hiram Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Cartersville took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Cass 76-52.

Meanwhile, Hiram took their game on Friday with ease, bagging an 83-56 win over Woodland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Hiram has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Cartersville, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Cartersville won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2024, slipping by Hiram 62-61. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cartersville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
