While Franklin's win against Tuscola wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Franklin Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tuscola Mountaineers 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Mountaineers: they've now won four in a row.

Suzanna Cabe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ashlynn McConnell, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That run marked the first that she scored this season. Another player making a difference was Kira Hall, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Franklin's record now sits at 4-2. As for Tuscola, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Looking ahead, Franklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Enka at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Tuscola, they are taking a road trip to take on North Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
