Pisgah came tearing into Tuesday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the West Carteret Patriots.

Sadie Messer spent all 15 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits and racked up 20 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pisgah's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Henson, who went 2-for-6 with one double and one RBI.

Pisgah's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for West Carteret, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3.

Pisgah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-7 win against East Carteret on the 16th. As for West Carteret, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Croatan on the 17th.
