Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Hackettstown

Hackettstown strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Kittatinny Regional Cougars 12-2. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Marcos Rosado made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Rosado was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Hackettstown let Kyle Edwards and Joey Rowinski run wild. Edwards got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double, while Rowinski scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That double was Edwards' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Schneider, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Hackettstown's record is now 4-0. As for Kittatinny Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hackettstown will take on Delaware Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kittatinny Regional, they will square off against Hopatcong at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
