Baseball Recap: Strasburg Indians vs. Weld Central Rebels
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Strasburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Weld Central Rebels 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since April 26, 2024.
Jared Flamini was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Strasburg: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 2-4 otherwise. Flamini was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
