Baseball Recap: Palisade's Run of Six Straight Victories Now Over

Palisade and Windsor squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Palisade had to settle for second. They lost 9-2 to the Wizards. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since March 22, 2024.

Palisade saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Embrey, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

With the defeat, Palisade broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-9. As for Windsor, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

Coming up, Palisade will face off against Severance at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Silver Knights have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Windsor, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-2 victory against Pueblo County on the 23rd.
