Basketball Recap: Bluff City Takes a Loss

Bluff City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 48-36 to the Mitchell Tigers. The Gray Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Kayla McCaster had a dynamite game for Mitchell, going 8 of 14 on her way to 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 16 points gave McCaster a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Terri Jackson, who posted eight points and six boards.

Bluff City's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mitchell, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Bluff City has already played their next contest (against Raleigh-Egypt), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mitchell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-41 win against Wooddale on the 16th.
