Baseball Game Preview: Scripps Ranch Falcons vs. Montgomery Aztecs

The Scripps Ranch Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Montgomery Aztecs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither Scripps Ranch nor Montgomery posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Scripps Ranch managed to slip by Granite Hills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Scripps Ranch came up short against Granite Hills on Friday, falling 7-1. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scripps Ranch saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Chuang, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run was Chuang's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Montgomery lost 12-1 to Coronado on Friday.

Scripps Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Montgomery, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Scripps Ranch might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Montgomery in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can Scripps Ranch avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
