Baseball Game Preview: Union Mine Diamondbacks vs. Amador Buffaloes

The Union Mine Diamondbacks will take on the Amador Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Rosemont hit Union Mine with a six-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Diamondbacks lost 10-4 to the Woverines.

Union Mine saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Mills, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Andrew Peterson was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Amador unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Brad Blankenheim made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases.

Amador's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-1. As for Union Mine, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Union Mine was able to grind out a solid win over Amador in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 5-1. Will the Diamondbacks repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
