Volleyball Game Preview: Cairo Pilots vs. Cobden Appleknockers

The Cairo Pilots will head out on the road to challenge the Cobden Appleknockers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Back in September, Cairo came up short against Joppa-Maple Grove and fell 2-0. The Pilots haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Cobden also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Vienna by a score of 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12.

Cobden's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Cairo, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cairo couldn't quite get it done against Cobden when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Pilots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
