Football Recap: John Hancock Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

John Hancock Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They took a blow against the Fullington Academy Trojans, falling 56-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 59-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

As for Fullington Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. 56 seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Fullington Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Hendrickson, who threw for 257 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave Hendrickson a new career-high in passer rating (152.2). Another back making a difference was Aidan Hill, who gained 116 total yards and a touchdown.

John Hancock Academy and Fullington Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rebels are set to challenge their familiar foe Westminster Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fullington Academy will face off against rival Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
