Preview: Davenport Central vs. Kennedy
After two weeks on the road, Kennedy is heading back home. On Thursday they take on Davenport Central at 7:30 PM. Kennedy are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
We expected Kennedy to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Bettendorf last Friday, and they did. Kennedy found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-41 punch to the gut against Bettendorf. Kennedy were down by 6-41 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Davenport Central had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 27-17 win over Washington.
Davenport Central's victory lifted them to 4-3 while Kennedy's defeat dropped them down to 4-3. We'll find out if Davenport Central can add another positive mark to their record or if Kennedy can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Davenport Central's step.
