Volleyball Recap: River Forest Takes a Loss

River Forest lost against Morgan Township back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ingots lost 3-0 to the Cherokees.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-12.

Morgan Township was led to victory by Lexi Rippe and Cathryn Gulley. Rippe had 15 digs and two aces, while Gulley had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Gulley has posted since back in August of 2024.

River Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Morgan Township, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Forest will face off against Whiting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morgan Township, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Knox at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
