Volleyball Recap: West Central Takes a Loss

If West Central was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Caston on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans came up short against the Faith Christian Eagles on Monday, falling 3-0. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15, 25-5.

Emily Ball paced West Central's offense, picking up two kills. Ball got some help from Kyra Leman and her three assists.

Kelsey Olehy had an outrageously good game for Faith Christian as she had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces Olehy has posted over her last 13 contests.

West Central now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Faith Christian, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 23-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Central will head out to face off against North White at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Lafayette Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
