Soccer Game Preview: Legacy College Prep vs. Pacifica Christian

The Legacy College Prep Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Pacifica Christian Tritons at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Legacy College Prep gave up the first goal last Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged San Gabriel Academy out 2-1.

Meanwhile, Pacifica Christian kept a clean sheet against Avalon on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lancers 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Tritons were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Reed Cleary, who's now up to three this season.

Pacifica Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight matchups. As for Legacy College Prep, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4-1.
