Soccer Game Preview: Desert Vista vs. Browne

The Desert Vista Thunder will venture away from home to challenge the Browne Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Desert Vista has four straight victories, Browne has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Desert Vista is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Campo Verde, who was ranked 17th at the time (Desert Vista was ranked ninth). Desert Vista won by a goal and slipped past Campo Verde 1-0. The Thunder's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Browne's offense. 2025 welcomed they with an 8-0 loss courtesy of Xavier College Prep on Monday.

Desert Vista is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six contests. As for Browne, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1.
