Baseball Recap: Maricopa Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Maricopa's offense. They came up short against the Canyon del Oro Dorados on Friday, falling 14-0. The Rams have struggled against the Dorados recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Maricopa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Canyon del Oro, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maricopa will face off against Mountain View at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maricopa is facing Mountain View at the right time seeing as Mountain View is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Canyon del Oro, they will challenge Casa Grande at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon del Oro's pitchers better be ready for this one: Casa Grande has averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
