Basketball Recap: Rahmello Makonnen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Greenacres Christian over Forest Hill

The Greenacres Christian Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the Forest Hill Falcons on Friday and fell 57-54. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greenacres Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rahmello Makonnen, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 15 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Giovanni Edwards, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Greenacres Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Forest Hill, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Greenacres Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grandview Prep at 5:00 p.m. on December 1. As for Forest Hill, they will head out to face off against Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
