Baseball Game Preview: Wimberley Texans vs. Sinton Pirates

For the second straight game, Wimberley will face off against Sinton. The Texans will square off against the Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wimberley 3.7, Sinton 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Wimberley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Sinton by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Texans.

Jackson Parker looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Wimberley let Sage Hall and Wyatt Yeatter run wild. Hall went 3-for-4 with two runs, while Yeatter went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Hall has posted since back in March.

Wimberley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sinton only managed five hits.

Sinton's loss dropped their record down to 28-8-1. As for Wimberley, their victory bumped their record up to 23-7-1.
