Preview: Hanover Park vs. Hackettstown

Hanover Park have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Hackettstown at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Hanover Park have had to suffer through a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Dover with a sharp 37-7 win. No one put up better numbers for Hanover Park than junior Ethan Gayle, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gayle has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 4 games.

Meanwhile, after a big victory against Vernon two weeks ago, Hackettstown came back down to earth. Hackettstown took a hard 13-30 fall against Parsippany Hills. Hackettstown were down by 7-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Hanover Park's victory lifted them to 1-3 while Hackettstown's defeat dropped them down to 2-3. Hackettstown's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Hanover Park defensive front that amassed four sacks against Dover last Friday, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
