Baseball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Union Star Trojans

The Princeton Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Union Star Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Princeton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Union Star's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Princeton beat North Harrison 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Union Star fell victim to East Buchanan and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Princeton's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Union Star, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Princeton skirted past Union Star 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
