Baseball Recap: Warner Takes a Loss

Warner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weleetka Outlaws.

Warner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Duncan, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Levi Good also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Warner's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Weleetka, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Warner will head out to take on Panama at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Razorbacks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Weleetka, they will head out on the road to face off against Savanna at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.12 runs per game on average), something the Outlaws will no doubt try to take advantage of.
