Soccer Recap: Island Coast Comes Up Short

Island Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Gateway Eagles, falling 10-0. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in November of 2024.

Island Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15-1. As for Gateway, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8-2.

Island Coast has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against DeSoto County on the 22nd. As for Gateway, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Palmetto Ridge on the 24th.
