Baseball Game Preview: Scott Eagles vs. Bracken County Polar Bears

The Scott Eagles will challenge the Bracken County Polar Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Scott's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Bracken County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Scott is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Campbell County on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Camels by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Camels: they've now lost six in a row.

Bath County hit Bracken County with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Polar Bears fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-4.

Bracken County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corbin Combess, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Kirt Hamilton also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Bracken County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
