Softball Recap: Hickory Comes Up Short

Hickory fell victim to Foard and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Tornadoes were not able to get on the board.

Hickory has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Foard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Hickory will head out to face off against Maiden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Foard, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Alexander Central at 5:00 p.m. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
