Volleyball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Mitchell's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Mitchell's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tea Titans. The Kernels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

Mitchell's got stronger as the match went on, holding Tea to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-10.

Addie Siemsen paced Mitchell's offense, picking up eight kills. Siemsen really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 21. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Mitchell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Tea, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mitchell will challenge rival Huron at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tea is set to face off against their familiar foe Yankton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
