Basketball Game Preview: Bayside Bears vs. Celebration Storm

The Bayside Bears will face off against the Celebration Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Celebration is hoping to do what Okeechobee couldn't back in December of 2024: put an end to Bayside's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Bayside narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Okeechobee 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since November 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Celebration sidestepped Tohopekaliga for a 40-37 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Storm.

Bayside better keep an eye on Ricardo Baro. He was instrumental in Celebration's win, going 8 of 17 on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance gave Baro a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony El Dib, who posted five points and seven rebounds.

Bayside's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Celebration, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
