Monacan extended their winning streak to five on Monday, bumping their season record up to 10-6-1 in the process. They blew past the J.R. Tucker Tigers 9-2. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for J.R. Tucker, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14. This is theirfourth heartbreak in a row against Monacan following a 10-0 back in March of 2015.

For J.R. Tucker's part, Yamal Ferguson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Ferguson's first of the season.

Coming up, Monacan will welcome L.C. Bird at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chiefs are facing the Skyhawks at the right time seeing as the Skyhawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for J.R. Tucker, they will venture away from home to take on John Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Justices have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
