Softball Recap: Port St. Lucie Wins Going Away Against Synergy Magnet K12

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centennial, Port St. Lucie was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Synergy Magnet K12 Saints get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The game marked the Jaguars' most dominant win of the season.

Rebecca Guison made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Guison was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Port St. Lucie got a massive performance out of Mirelis Benito, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Benito a new career-high. Mia Torres was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.

Port St. Lucie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .826. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-7-1. As for Synergy Magnet K12, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, Port St. Lucie and Synergy Magnet K12 will both be playing Vero Beach the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will head out to face the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
