Volleyball Recap: Chichester Falls to Springfield in First Game of Season

Chichester unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Springfield Cougars on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Chichester was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Springfield's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-11, 25-19.

The victory got Springfield back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Chichester and Springfield will both be playing Sun Valley the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Vanguards at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on October 6.
