StoneBridge let Broadwater Academy stack five runs on them in the second inning on Tuesday but luckily StoneBridge prevailed anyway. The Cavaliers walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Vikings. The win continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Tyler Thompson and Bryce Walton did most of the damage at the plate: Thompson went 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Walton went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that Thompson has snagged this season. Blake Walton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

StoneBridge's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Broadwater Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record this season.

StoneBridge will take on Greenbrier Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gators' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Cavaliers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Broadwater Academy, they will face off against Arcadia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
