Basketball Recap: Prescott Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Prescott had won eight straight games and Uriah Tenette did his part to make it nine on Tuesday. The Prescott Badgers put the hurt on the Coconino Panthers with a sharp 77-55 victory thanks in part to Tenette, who went 11 of 24 en route to 26 points in addition to six assists and four steals. The match was his 45th in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Tommy Richardson, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Coconino lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Fitz Guinan, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Greene, who scored nine points and three steals.

Prescott has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.1 points per game. As for Coconino, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-7.

Prescott has already played their next game, an 80-42 win against Bradshaw Mountain on the 30th. As for Coconino, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-40 victory against Mohave on the 30th.
