Danbury's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Jake Okeefe

Jake OKeefe helped snap Danbury's eight-game losing streak dating back to last season. Nobody could stop OKeefe on Friday as he rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 108 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes.

Danbury's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. OKeefe and Danbury will welcome Westhill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Trumbull found a leader in Brayden Jagoe as the squad took down McMahon on Friday. Jagoe was unstoppable, making eight total tackles and defending a pass. He didn't just play on offense: he also made eight total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Trumbull now has a winning record of 3-2. Jagoe will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Greenwich on Friday.

Michael D'angelo Dazzles in Greenwich Defeat

Greenwich was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Michael D'Angelo did his best to prevent it. Wilton had no answer to D'Angelo as he rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also threw for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Greenwich moved to 4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. D'Angelo and Greenwich will take on Trumbull at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sevilla Posts Huge Game in 28-18 Victory

The second Trumbull player making an appearance here is Lorenzo Sevilla, and for good reason. He picked up three sacks, made seven total tackles, and defended two passes. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

This year, Sevilla has averaged 7.5 total tackles per game and for the season has 4 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after four games last season, he was only averaging 2.25 total tackles per game.
