Football Recap: Ballston Spa Comes Up Short

Ballston Spa came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 44-8 loss at the hands of the Shaker Bison. The Scotties have struggled against the Bison recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Ballston Spa's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Shaker, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Ballston Spa and Shaker should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Scotties will face off against Amsterdam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (123 vs. 360). Meanwhile, Shaker (ranked 33rd) will meet Colonie Central (ranked 192nd) on Friday.
