Tamaqua barely beat Blue Mountain the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Raiders blew past the Eagles 11-0 on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.
Mason Ligenza made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Cooper Ansbach was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those home runs were his first of the season. Jake Yenser was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
