After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tuscaloosa County, Jasper was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Cullman Bearcats 4-2. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 11-9 victory the Bearcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Emersyn Haney was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Kilgore, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Jasper was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Jasper is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Coming up, Jasper will challenge Orange Beach at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th. As for Cullman, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against East Lawrence at 4:30 p.m.
