Volleyball Recap: Coventry Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Coventry had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Tallmadge Blue Devils by a score of 3-1. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

The victory didn't come easy: Tallmadge scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Camryn Korora paced Coventry's offense, picking up nine kills. Korora got some help from Mckenzie Osborne and her 17 assists. Ava Burkhart controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Tallmadge now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coventry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Streetsboro on the 21st. As for Tallmadge, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Crestwood on the 21st.
