Baseball Game Preview: Northshore Panthers vs. Chalmette Owls

For the second straight game, Northshore will face off against Chalmette. Northshore will be playing at home against Chalmette at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northshore is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Northshore proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 23) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Chalmette 4-2.

Carson Malasovich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Northshore let Kole Brackman and Brody Dukes run wild. Brackman went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Dukes went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Dukes a new career-high.

Northshore's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Chalmette, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-13.
