Basketball Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short at Home Against Ballantyne Ridge + How To Watch

Piedmont unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves on Tuesday. The matchup was a 25-25 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Piedmont still got an impressive performance from Bryan Little, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Little is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Nolan Smith was another key player, putting up eight points.

Ballantyne Ridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Piedmont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-48 defeat against Carson on the 21st. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 67-61 loss against Parkwood on the 21st.
