Baseball Recap: Chaparral Beats Douglas County for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Chaparral hadn't done well against Douglas County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wolverines blew past the Huskies 10-2. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won five contests in a row.

Beckett Bacon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chaparral got a big performance out of Ryne Dodson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Grant Larson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
