Elmore County has gone 9-1 against Beauregard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Elmore County has 11 straight victories, Beauregard has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Elmore County had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the five-goal drubbing they dealt Horseshoe Bend on Tuesday. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Generals a 5-0 shutout. Elmore County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by four goals or more this season.

They hit Horseshoe Bend with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Delaney Hines (2), Cadi Crews (2), and Kristina Elmore.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Beauregard's offense. They came up short against Marbury on Tuesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Beauregard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Marbury are ranked 45th).

Elmore County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. As for Beauregard, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Elmore County beat Beauregard by a goal in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 1-0. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
