Volleyball Game Preview: South Kingstown Rebels vs. Toll Gate Titans

The South Kingstown Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the Toll Gate Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Kingstown has three straight victories, Toll Gate has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

South Kingstown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Portsmouth, who was ranked ninth at the time (South Kingstown was ranked 23rd). The Rebels came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots on Friday, sneaking past 3-2.

Meanwhile, Toll Gate came up short against Pilgrim on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

South Kingstown's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Toll Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

South Kingstown took their victory against Toll Gate in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
