Baseball Recap: Mercer Island Takes a Loss

Mercer Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bothell Cougars.

Mercer Island saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Park, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That hit marked the first that Park got this season.

Mercer Island's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bothell, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Mercer Island didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Bothell/Inglemoor on the 24th. As for Bothell, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Skyline at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bothell 3.2, Skyline 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
