Basketball Recap: Kenwood Beats Fenwick for Their Third Straight Win

Kenwood entered their tilt with Fenwick on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 55-31 margin over the Fenwick Friars. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kenwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than London Walker George, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Those six steals gave Walker George a new career-high. Danielle Brooks was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Kenwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Kenwood's record is now 23-2. As for Fenwick, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenwood will head out to face off against Whitney Young at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fenwick, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
