Baseball Recap: Gresham Comes Up Short

Gresham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Clackamas Cavaliers, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Gophers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Gresham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Clackamas, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Gresham will square off against Sandy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Gophers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clackamas, they will take on Barlow at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight.
