Softball Game Preview: Panguitch Bobcats vs. Monticello Buckaroo

The Panguitch Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Monticello Buckaroo at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Panguitch's last matchup with Milford could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Bobcats came up short against the Tigers, falling 18-4. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Panguitch saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Hatch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Monticello fell victim to Panguitch and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Bobcats. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Buckaroo's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Panguitch, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Panguitch took their victory against Monticello when the teams last played on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
