Softball Recap: Barron Golden Bears vs. Ashland Oredockers

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Barron). They blew past the Ashland Oredockers 15-7 on Tuesday. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Oredockers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kailynn Duncan made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Madalyn Kallsen was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Ariella McDonald was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
