Baseball Recap: Brentwood Academy Comes Up Short

Brentwood Academy lost against Lipscomb Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 15-2 to the Mustangs.

Will Rooney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Brentwood Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-8 otherwise. Ryan Duty was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Brentwood Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Lipscomb Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

While Brentwood Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
