Football Recap: Johnson Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Johnson had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 45-7 victory over the Judson Rockets. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won three in a row.

Leading Johnson to victory were Aaron Crawford and Elvis Estrada. Crawford rushed for 97 yards and one TD on only five carries, while Estrada threw for 143 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards Crawford has posted since back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Johnson will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Pieper at 7:30 p.m. on the 5th. As for Judson, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hutto at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
